Dreamforce 12 is now over and this is without a doubt the best Dreamforce ever that we have attended! The conference was bigger than ever, and – as Marc Benioff did – I could start listing you some impressive numbers about this event and company…but Rachel King from ZDNet already did a great job with an impressive summary, so I’d rather invite you to read her post.
I could also tell you about the infographics at Dreamforce and the different people you could meet there (and where)…but actually Maria at Marketo already created a perfect summary of the attendees. So again, have a look at her document.
I’m could also try to make an exhaustive summary of Marc’s 3 hour long keynote but I’m sure you will prefer to watch a replay versus reading….and if I want to be short, I would say that this year the top messaging at Dreamforce focused on social and collaborative add-ons to bring the service cloud to the next level.
So, what I’d like to spend a moment sharing with you about the Cameleon experience at Dreamforce is the enthusiasm we faced when introducing Cameleon Touch—our 2nd generation of mobile CPQ. “Touch” enables users to benefit from:
- An intuitive user interface that is optimized for easy navigation on a mobile device. With Touch you scroll, tap and swipe through the information to configure, price and quote on the fly
- An app that is part of the Cameleon Suite and as such can be quickly and easily deployed on iPad, without coding.
- A social CPQ that enables organizations to interact with their customers not only through Chatter but also with Facebook and other social networks
With Cameleon Touch CPQ, organizations have at their fingertips a solution to configure, price, quote and close deals anywhere and everywhere on any device. The social component of Touch is also well aligned with the ambition of salesforce.com to make the social enterprise a reality.
I also want to take a moment to share with you the fantastic breakout session we conducted with our dear customer Daryl Haga from Tyco/ADT. Through our 60 minute presentation, the audience enjoyed an overview of how the benefits of CPQ combined with salesforce.com can help an organization to dramatically improve overall sales effectiveness… With Daryl dropping impressive numbers such as CPQ ROI in 30 days and a rise of +135% for quotes generated by the same sales teams!
And after 4 crazy days, it’s now time to say, “See you next year at DF13”!
